Vendor Registrations Now Open Windsor ElvisFest is now accepting vendor registrations for the 2009 outdoor festival venue. See the “Registration” tab for vendor registration forms. Pete Paquette Launches 8 City Tour Pete Paquette, one of our Saturday night “Elvis and More” headlining artists, will be on an 8-city Ontario tour in April with Shawn Klush (also known as The World’s Greatest Elvis Tribute Artist) and the Sweet Inspirations. Tour dates in Ottawa, Hamilton, London, Sarnia, Lindsay, Mississauga, North Bay and Kitchener. Get ready to boogie to the music of the 50's, 60's and 70's. Elvis Tribute Artists will be taking the stage to get warmed up for the competition, but you might also be treated to some other legends tributes - Johnny Cash, Roy Orbison, Neil Diamond? Who knows who will show up on stage! Don't miss these "GT's" (Good Times). There's going to be a dance floor so put on your dancin' shoes! Also New in 2009 - NO RAIN!!!!! For those of you who braved 3 days of rain in 2008, we want to thank you! Even though we can't guarantee that it won't rain in 2009, (nature wouldn't be that cruel would it!!) we can say we have plans on how to keep you dry if it does! Other festival details to follow in the coming days! 2008 Windsor Elvis Fest DVD Available A DVD containing Friday Night's Showcase of Kings is now available for $20. Copies of the 2006 Windsor Elvis Fest DVD are also available. 2008 Elvis Fest Press Coverage Three days of rainy weather couldn't dampen the spirits of fans and ETA's at the third annual Windsor Elvis Fest. Here's what Carol Hunter from Lady Luck Music had to say about the popular festival in Canada’s most southern city: "The Windsor Elvis Fest, held the last weekend in June, recently celebrated its third successful year -- drawing hundreds of fans and approximately 60 ETA's from Canada and the United States to enjoy Windsor's hospitality and a weekend of Elvis nostalgia. Again this year, the Festival's ETA contest was a preliminary for the Ultimate Elvis® Tribute Artist Contest to be held in August in Memphis, while the Festival itself was a charity fundraiser for the Centres for Seniors, with proceeds helping to fund much needed programs and resources for seniors. Beautiful Dieppe Park overlooking the impressive Detroit River, was the setting for the weekend's outdoor activities which included open mic singing, youth and non-professional contest preliminaries, and a terrific Sunday morning gospel show – all of which provided continuous Elvis music all weekend. Although it turned out to be a slightly wet weekend outside, the spirits of the enthusiastic fans and ETA's weren't dampened in the least. The Windsor Fest has become known as a friendly event with lots of camaraderie between fans and ETA's, and this year’s event was no exception."
